Edward's unique classroom was situated in Buckingham Palace, where he had a designated space for his education. Unlike other children who attended school with their peers, Edward did not have the opportunity to socialize and engage with his classmates during the day. Instead, he spent most of his time studying with a strict teacher named Mr. Hansell.
One evening, while searching for dinner, King found himself confronted by a woman who was carrying three plates of meat and potatoes. Concerned about the delay in serving their meal, he questioned her as to what had happened. The woman apologized and explained that she had become disoriented due to the large number of dining rooms present in the palace. However, she offered her assistance and promised to guide him back to the correct dining area if he returned to the table.
Despite his unusual circumstances, Edward managed to excel in his studies at Buckingham Palace. His teacher, Mr. Hansell, was known for his strict teaching methods and lack of enthusiasm. Although there were numerous books available in the classroom, they were often dull and lacked visual aids such as pictures. Despite this, Edward remained committed to learning and improving his knowledge.
In conclusion, Edward's unique educational experience at Buckingham Palace allowed him to pursue his studies without the distractions of traditional schooling. While his teacher's approach may not have been conventional, it ultimately contributed to Edwards' success in gaining an education. Furthermore, his encounter with the woman in the kitchen demonstrated how even in challenging situations, one can find ways to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
But the lessons are so boring, Sir,' I replied. 'And Mr Hansell hits me.'
"I don't understand you, Edward. You're a baby. You're so weak. You'll never be a good King. A King must be strong. Go to your room and stay there until the morning,"
"I spent many days alone in my room," Edward wrote later. "I never played with other children and I didn't have any friends. I lived in the most beautiful house in England but I was always lonely and sad. I saw my mother once a day at dinner time and I saw my father three or four times a week, but they never gave me any love. I was afraid of them and everything I did was wrong."
