American Pie has followed a similar format for the first six episodes: some new and inexperienced characters are virgins, but as they explore their path to becoming true men, they discover their true loves. However, this formulaic approach does not excite viewers anymore, despite the return of "Jimmy's" father in this episode. This character has appeared in each of the first six episodes as a father figure, an older friend with expertise in satisfying teenagers' desires, and a guide for those who are lost, among other roles. In this instance, he serves as a mental tutor (a sex tutor perhaps) for three young male students who aim to restore the glory of the Sex Bible. If you are a newcomer to American Pie, it may be amusing to watch the series unfold for the first time. However, if you have already watched the first six installments, there is nothing new or exciting about this particular episode.
