amien Darhk's Death Surprised Everyone
Surprisingly, Damien Darhk is no longer alive. Have you ever wondered if "Arrow" would end its fourth season with the bad guy taking down the entire planet? The heroes needed to win, and Oliver delivered a speech to the looting and rioting citizens of Star City, rallying them behind the Green Arrow to take down Darhk and Hive, and it worked. However, there were consequences to this victory.
While Team Arrow saved the day, it may well be their last mission. Not long after the fight was won, Lance announced he was taking Donna and hitting the road. Then Thea revealed she was done with dressing up in leather and fighting crime. Likewise, Diggle revealed he was taking time away from the team and Star City. Our beloved Diggle has reenlisted in the military and is leaving town for the foreseeable future. It's the exact inverse of last year when Oliver and Felicity decided to leave the team to enjoy life. Now, the two who are still not back together are all that's left of Team Arrow. This will be difficult due to the fact that they not only beat Darhk but also Oliver got a new job. Seeing as the former mayor — Damien's wife — was killed, Oliver is now the new person for the job. His speech to the citizens of Star City rallying them against Darhk was all the interview he needed for the job. So where does "Arrow" go from here? The finale really ended with a whimper rather than a bang. There wasn't much in the way of setting up a Season 5 villain, and things seem largely quiet in Star City. Of course, those who saw what happened on "The Flash" must be wondering if Barry's decision to travel back in time to save his mother will ripple through to "Arrow" Season 5. Regardless, it's going to be a while before we find out.
